Royal Neighbors of America Recognizes Top 10 Chapters

Rock Island, Ill. (June 24, 2022) – Royal Neighbors of America, a fraternal benefit society located in Rock Island, Ill. has recognized its top 10 community chapters in the country. Royal Neighbors chapters are made up of Members who have a desire to impact their community through volunteerism. This designation is based on the number of volunteer hours generated by a chapter in one year.

A membership organization boasting nearly 250,000 Members nationwide, Royal Neighbors offers life insurance and annuity products and is driven by its mission of supporting women and serving communities, making social impact the cornerstone of their work. Royal Neighbors’ local chapters of volunteers carry out the organization’s mission.

“As Royal Neighbors, we commit to making a meaningful and lasting impact through volunteerism,” said Royal Neighbors’ Director of Philanthropy Amy Jones. “These chapters exemplify what it means to be a Royal Neighbor. They are leveraging their membership to impact their local communities through grassroots volunteerism. They are serving meals to the hungry, sewing pillowcases for the homeless, and mentoring young girls in afterschool programs. They are leaders in their local communities.”

  5. Chapter 5146 of Grasston, Minn. - 4,538 hours
  6. Chapter 20210 of East Brunswick, N.J. - 4,440 hours
  7. Chapter 20139 of Phoenix, Ariz. - 3,580 hours
  8. Chapter 7072 of Guthrie Center, Iowa - 3,482 hours
  9. Chapter 20048 of Rock Island, Ill. - 3,463 hours
  10. Chapter 20217 of Valrico, Fla. - 3,301 hours

Royal Neighbors offers Members opportunities to serve their communities through membership programs which include monetary grants to offset the cost of volunteer projects, grant awards for select nonprofits, educational scholarships, and more. The number of volunteer hours submitted by Royal Neighbors chapters is data calculated to measure Royal Neighbors’ annual Social Impact goal. The organization evaluates its social impact by measuring four areas including its annual philanthropic investment, annual volunteer value the monetary value of the long-term impacts of volunteerism, and total savings provided through their Member Savings program. Earlier this year, the fraternal benefit society announced it had reached a new record of $20.5 million in social impact.
