Royal Neighbors Scholarship Program

Who Can Apply
The Royal Neighbors of America Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to Beneficial Members who plan to pursue post-secondary education at an accredited institution to obtain a trade or vocational degree, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree. The scholarship application will open in early 2026.

- Complete the application.
- Submit transcripts or work history.
- Applications must be submitted by the deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Who Qualifies as a Beneficial Member at Royal Neighbors of America?
You’re considered a Beneficial Member if you meet one of the following conditions:
- You are insured under a Royal Neighbors life insurance certificate (as long as the certificate is not currently on Extended Term Insurance).
- You are the owner of a Royal Neighbors annuity.
- If the annuity is owned by a trust, the annuitant (the person receiving the annuity payments) is considered the Beneficial Member.
- You are owner of a settlement contract.
- When the insured person passes away, the beneficiaries can choose how to receive the death benefit, should they not wish to receive a lump sum payment. These are known as settlement options/contracts. Please refer to the applicable Settlement Options provision of the contract.
Program Information:
- Applicants must be a Royal Neighbors Beneficial Member* over the age of 16
- Applicants must be attending or planning to pursue a post-secondary education at an accredited institution to obtain a trade or vocational degree, associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree
- Applicant must provide high school transcripts demonstrating a 2.5 GPA or higher
- If graduation from high school was more than 10 years ago, applicant can choose to demonstrate a strong work history as well as provide a professional reference instead of submitting transcripts
- Dependent children of Royal Neighbors of America board members, senior executives, member children, and member grandchildren are not eligible to receive scholarships
- Members are limited to four years of scholarship support and must reapply each year
Disclosure:
*Scholarships are awarded annually at the discretion of Royal Neighbors with guidance from a panel of judges selected by Royal Neighbors. Only qualifying applicants who are selected by the judges will receive scholarship funds.
Member Programs are provided at the discretion of Royal Neighbors of America and are not available in all states. Member Programs may be administered by a third party and are subject to change without notice. They are not part of any insurance or annuity contract and are not guaranteed. Insurance and annuity products should not be purchased for eligibility or maintenance of non-guaranteed membership programs. These products should only be purchased if they meet the financial needs of the applicant. Member programs are available at no extra cost. Approval is not guaranteed. Supplies are limited.
