By overcoming personal obstacles and having a passion for education and helping others, Jasmine Bozeman is now the Founder and CEO of an impactful social enterprise, The Degree Experience (TDE). This company is committed to supporting a population of at-risk and minority high school students and their families through their college preparation journey. The TDE Academy is a program for youth that provides tools to maximize their higher education success and enhance their quality of life. The Nation of Neighbors℠ grant will give TDE the resources to fully launch the Academy, so it reaches and impacts more youth as they plan their futures.
As a published author, Certified Motivational Speaker and active mentor, Jasmine works directly with the students in the Illinois and Iowa region to be a role model. She explains that she is, “someone who shares in their lived experiences, who can relate to their growth and development as productive women of society and who stands as proof for pursuing your dreams.”
Nation of Neighbors, Royal Neighbors’ signature program to empower women, provides financial assistance to individuals who have a plan to start or expand a business, an organization or group that helps women and girls. Nearly $2 million has been awarded since 2007.
