Member Relief Fund

We are now accepting applications for the Member Relief Fund for qualifying events. Program funds will be distributed to qualified applicants until the fund is depleted.

When natural disasters have devastated our homes and communities, we rely on help from our friends, loved ones, and neighbors. As a fraternal membership organization, Royal Neighbors has assisted members during times of natural disaster since our founding.

Since 1921, our Member Relief Fund has provided assistance to Beneficial Members experiencing financial hardship resulting from illness, accident, or disaster.

If you are insured under an insurance certificate, the initial owner of an annuity certificate, or the person receiving the benefits under a supplementary contract with Royal Neighbors, you may qualify for up to $200 through this member fund.

Program Criteria: 

• Program funds will be distributed to qualified applicants until the annual fund is depleted.
• Funds will not be awarded to eligible Beneficial Members more than once annually with a lifetime maximum of three.
• Date of onset illness/personal injury or natural disaster must be within six months of application.
• The reason for applying must be due to a natural disaster like a flood, hurricane, earthquake, tornado, fire, or other catastrophic weather event.
• Only damages/loss to the structure and contents of an inhabited dwelling are considered.
• Loss and damages to automobiles, driveways, landscapes, businesses, outbuildings, and income are not considered.

Payment Options:

Option #1: Payment to cover the insurance premium of the applying member's certificate, up to and not to exceed $200. Auto premium payments will be temporarily halted during this time.

Option #2: If the premium balance has been paid for the year, a $200 check will be issued to the applying eligible beneficial member.

Member Programs are provided at the discretion of Royal Neighbors of America, are not available in all states, and are subject to change without notice. They are not part of any insurance or annuity contract and are not guaranteed. Insurance or annuity products should not be purchased for eligibility or maintenance of nonguaranteed Member Programs. These products should only be purchased if they meet the financial needs of the applicant. Member Programs are available at no extra cost. Approval is not guaranteed. Supplies are limited.
