Since 1895, Royal Neighbors has been dedicated to insuring lives, supporting women, and serving communities. We have been providing women and those they care about valuable insurance products, financial education, member benefits and services, and opportunities to connect with each other and their communities.
 A Legacy of helping women
Our history tells a story of nine strong, visionary women who were a guiding force in the improvement of the lives of women and their families. Our founders saw a need to address the issues of their day and created a community to support each other through financial, health, and personal development education. Today, over 100 years later, we continue to work for the benefit of our membership by offering relevant insurance products and valuable member services, and we continue to believe in the foundation of neighbor-helping-neighbor.
Our financial strength
We serve the needs of our members. Since 1895, we have paid or provided more than $1.4 billion of insurance and financial benefits to our members and their beneficiaries. The A.M. Best Company, an independent rating agency, has affirmed our A- Excellent rating (4th highest rating out of 15 possible). We serve more than 230,000 members throughout 42 states and the District of Columbia. We are a non-profit membership organization, the 6th largest fraternal benefit society in America.
Giving back 
Over the past 40 years, our members have volunteered nearly 20 million hours with a total value of almost $350 million. Plus, as a non-profit organization, the premiums paid for our insurance products go back into the community; we contributed more than $28 million to support individuals and families in need.
