Scholarships


For almost 50 years, the Royal Neighbors Fraternal Scholarship program has made the dream of higher education a reality for many of our members. Royal Neighbors has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships to more than 1,400 students. The application request deadline for the scholarships is January 31 of the year the scholarship is awarded. All applicants must be beneficial members of Royal Neighbors of America.
  • Making A Difference Scholarships: These scholarships are provided to students in the top quarter of their senior class with highest national test scores, immediately upon graduation from high school. Applicants must have a qualifying Royal Neighbors beneficial certificate and a record of volunteerism. Ten, $2,000, four-year, renewable scholarships awarded annually.

  • Know Your Worth Scholarship: This scholarship provides educational opportunities to outstanding young women by annually awarding a $5,000-per-year, four-year scholarship to the most qualified female applicant chosen from the pool of applicants for the Making a Difference Scholarship. The recipient must be a graduating senior and be accepted at a four-year accredited college as a full-time student. 
     
  • State/Territorial Scholarships: More than 20 individual states/territories will award nonrenewable scholarships for $500 or $1,000 to high school seniors.

  • New Horizons Scholarships: Royal Neighbors "nontraditional" scholarship program provides educational support to members who don't fall into the usual college age range. Ten scholarships are open to female members ages 35 and older. Scholarship amounts are available up to $5,000 for part-time students or full-time students enrolled at an accredited college, university, junior college, or vocational school.

  • New Horizons Leader Scholarship: This scholarship provides educational opportunities for outstanding women age 35 or older by annually awarding up to $5,000 for up to four years. The most qualified female applicant is chosen from the New Horizon applicants.     
     
  • Life Enrichment Scholarships: This scholarship is designed for beneficial members ages 21 and older who are interested in continuing their education through short-term courses. Five awards of a maximum of $500 will be made to those who complete the required form and provide any additional requested information.
