Chapter Information
Make A Difference Day—Oct. 22, 2011
As a chapter leader/member, you have the unique opportunity to help demonstrate Royal Neighbors’ mission of empowering women to achieve financial security, health, and wellness. Make A Difference Day gives you and your fellow members the opportunity to connect with one another and make a positive impact in your communities. It is a great way to renew old friendships and meet potential new members who are interested in improving their community.
This year on Saturday, October 22, Royal Neighbors is encouraging chapters to create and deliver Baskets of Hope to service organizations that provide programs and assistance to women. Baskets may be filled with clothing, hygiene products, inspirational books, household supplies, or other items that will help women improve their lives. Click here for basket theme ideas.
Start collecting items now through October 21, 2011. Work with other organizations and place collection boxes throughout your community. Then get together on Saturday, October 22 to fill laundry or other baskets with the collected items and deliver them to your shelter/organization of choice.
If your chapter wants to do more, consider hosting a fitness, spa, or makeover day, and present the attendees a small basket of goodies to take with them.
Contact your fraternal specialist for help promoting your collection efforts or additional assistance.
Remember, participation in Make A Difference Day is one of the criteria to qualify for the 2012 “Sandestination, FL” chapter leadership trip. And, the chapter that donates the most baskets will receive special recognition.
