CEO wins Prestigious Business Award

Cynthia Tidwell, President/CEO, wins Stevie® Award as Turnaround Executive of the Year

Cynthia Tidwell, President/CEO, won a prestigious Stevie Award as Turnaround Executive of the Year in The 2009 American Business Awards.

“I’m very proud to have been selected for this award,” said Ms.Tidwell. “It is a testament to the passion the members and employees feel for this organization while recognizing our success in business and fulfilling our mission of helping women and their communities.”

Stevie Awards were presented in over 40 categories including Best Overall Company of the Year, Executive of the Year, and Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year. More than 2,600 entries from companies in virtually every industry were submitted for consideration by 200 executives nationwide.

Judith Tshibangu, Royal Neighbors’ Marketing Executive and a finalist in the category of Marketing Executive of the Year, accepted Ms. Tidwell’s award at The Stevie Awards gala dinner in New York City.

In addition to her strong impact on the business operations of Royal Neighbors, Ms. Tidwell has been instrumental in implementing strategies that ensure the reinvigoration of community-based volunteerism and philanthropy. Through its two-year-old Nation of Neighbors^SM Program, the organization has awarded $650,000 to individuals and families in need, giving them the inspiration to achieve their highest aspirations and give back within their communities.
