(ROCK ISLAND, IL)— Royal Neighbors of America, a not-for-profit fraternal membership organization, granted more than $3,000 to Leader Dogs, sponsoring the training of guide dogs for local individuals with hearing disabilities.

As one more way that Royal Neighbors fulfills its vision of neighbor-helping-neighbor, members donated money raised through nationwide fundraising projects to submit to the Help for Hearing fund raising program sponsored by Royal Neighbors.  Ms. Roberta Trzos, CFRE, Director of Major and Planned Gifts for Leader Dogs, stated “This is so wonderful! We are so pleased that others recognize the great work that these dogs do, and the great comfort they are for people with hearing disabilities. “

“Leader Dogs makes such a great commitment to improving people’s lives,” said Cynthia Tidwell, Royal Neighbors President/CEO. “By supporting their cause we continue our legacy of neighbor-helping-neighbor.”

Royal Neighbors of America is a non-profit fraternal membership organization that insures lives, supports women, and serves communities. In addition to being able to purchase insurance products, its members also participate in a variety of locally based volunteer opportunities and are eligible to receive benefits such as scholarships and disaster aid.
