Royal Neighbors of America reveals its 2005 employee of the year
1/24/2006
(ROCK ISLAND, IL)— Jim Eberts, Andalusia, was presented the 2005 Employee of the Year Award by Cynthia Tidwell, President/CEO of Royal Neighbors of America, Rock Island, during a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, Jan. 19.
The award program was created to annually recognize an employee who demonstrates professionalism and integrity; shares knowledge and resources with others; embraces and leads change that supports Royal Neighbors's goals; and goes above and beyond to respond to external and internal customers. Employees are nominated for the prestigious award by fellow coworkers.
The following was excerpted from the nomination form describing Eberts' on-the-job performance:
I consider this individual to be one of Royal Neighbors's most valuable employees. The tremendous contributions can be felt in the many ways he supports the efforts of our Society. When he is made aware of any particular corporate objective or goal, he begins to look for ways to help Royal Neighbors attain those goals. I have never known a time when he didn't have some solution, process improvement, or cost-efficiency to discuss in conjunction with a goal Royal Neighbors was trying to reach. And, he is relentless! Idea after idea. Whether it is an idea that could save someone five minutes to an idea eliminating a process all together, this person keeps the positive momentum going, all the while being admired by his staff, colleagues, and supervisors for providing excellent customer support and giving time to any employee in need of help. If there is a question he doesn't have the answer to, he will go out of the way to find the answer, demonstrating an endless "can-do" drive and keeping things light through a fun-loving attitude.
He is such a pleasure to work with because he loves to laugh and to make others laugh too.
Eberts joined the National Headquarters staff in 1980 and is the supervisor of the document production center.
In addition to the honor of the Employee of the Year title, Eberts will receive a vacation package of his choice, valued at $1,500.
