Employees at Royal Neighbors of America, Rock Island, enjoyed some Halloween fun today with a visit from the YWCA daycare. Little ghouls and goblins trick-or-treated through the lobby of the Home Office while employees gave out treats.
In addition, employees put on their own Halloween parade in the lunchroom with a friendly contest. Included in the Halloween festivities was the opportunity for employees to purchase candy grams for co-workers. More than $400 was raised in the candy-gram sale and will be donated to St. Joseph the Worker House in Rock Island. The home offers services and transitional housing for homeless women and children in a home-like, healthy, loving, and supportive environment and provides connections to local services that assist families.
Royal Neighbors of America is a non-profit fraternal membership organization that insures lives, supports women, and serves communities. In addition to being able to purchase insurance products, its members also participate in a variety of locally based volunteer opportunities, and are eligible to receive benefits such as scholarships and disaster aid.
