(Rock Island, IL)—Royal Neighbors of America and its employees are once again supporting Zonta’s First Day Fund. Several employees are shown presenting Barb Hansen, a member of Zonta of the Quad Cities, with a sizable donation of school supplies.

The First Day Fund is a drive to assure that school supplies are available for children whose families may not be able to afford them. “Over the past 40 years, Royal Neighbors members have volunteered nearly 20 million hours with a total value of almost $350 million. And, in giving back to communities across the country, we have contributed more than $28 million to support individuals and families in need,” said Cynthia Tidwell, Royal Neighbors President/CEO. “Our participation in the First Day Fund is another example of our commitment to neighbor-helping-neighbor.”

Royal Neighbors of America is a non-profit membership organization that insures lives, supports women, and serves communities. In addition to being able to purchase insurance products, its members also receive benefits such as disaster aid and scholarships.

Headquartered in Rock Island, IL, Royal Neighbors serves more than 240,000 certificateholders, has $2.1 billion of insurance in force, and is licensed to do business in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
